Born in the south of France, Gérard was accustomed to mediterranean conviviality and good food. He honed his skills in the patisserie trade, crafting and learning from the best in the industry.
At the age of 28, the young entrepreneur decided he wanted to bring the wonderful recipes to other parts of the world. In 1978, he left his native France for the U.A.E, to start his adventure.
He wanted to create and refine French products, as well as perfect the art of making coffee. His style of coffee making and line of pastries was personalized, unlike anything the local market had ever tasted before. By 1981, Gérard Café had become a gathering place for coffee devotees and for other artisan crafters in the industry.
Gérard Café has ambitious growth plans and intends to expand its operations by opening more outlets both nationally and internationally. Our vision for the future is to share the experience and love of coffee.
On a final note, Mr. Gérard himself would like to thank all the loyal customers whom have been coming since 1981, representing three generations of coffee devotees today.
